The State of Indiana is seeking a Correctional Recreation Leader to join Pendleton Juvenile Correctional Facility. You will work as part of a security-conscious team, overseeing daily recreation programs for incarcerated youth during a 7.5-hour shift.

You will plan activities, supervise inmates, maintain records, and coordinate with the Rec Coordinator. A degree is not required; the role starts at $42,900 annually and includes health benefits, retirement options, paid leave, and education

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of the rules and regulations for various sports and recreational activities.
• Strong ability to implement and supervise institutional recreation programs.
• Experience engaging with individuals in a correctional setting preferred.
• Ability to maintain accurate records of programs and evaluations.
• Ability to adapt activities to safety and security requirements.

Responsabilités

• Plan, initiate, organize, and conduct recreational activities.
• Supervise and guide inmates during programs.
• Recommend equipment purchases and repairs.
• Maintain program records and evaluations.
