Job summary

The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry seeks a CORRECTIONAL RECORDS TECHNICIAN I at ASPC Phoenix. The role checks daily arrivals for future release dates and completes required forms, ensuring inmates are released in accordance with the law and agency policy.

Responsibilities include processing release documents, coordinating with authorities, and entering data into ACIS while maintaining accuracy and compliance. Background check and TB test are required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ARS and ADCRR policies and procedures.
• Experience with inmate records management and filing.
• Strong math and data-entry skills, attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret court documents and release paperwork.
• Clear verbal and written communication with staff and public.

Responsibilities

• Verifies release eligibility per statutes, policies, and procedures.
• Processes release paperwork and notifies authorities with dates.
• Coordinates transportation to approved placement and parole hearings.
• Processes ICE detainers and prepares inmates for pickup when needed.
• Inputs and audits data in ACIS to ensure accuracy.
• Attends meetings and required training; may drive on state business.
