State of North Carolina - Adult Correction is seeking a Primary Care Physician (NS) at Central Prison Healthcare Complex to provide inpatient and outpatient medical services to male inmates. The role includes preventive, urgent, and chronic care, with collaboration with nursing staff to maintain comprehensive medical care.

The physician will evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, and deliver health education.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed to practice medicine in North Carolina.
• Experience in general and preventative medicine.
• Experience documenting patient health information in the medical record.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary care services in a correctional setting, including inpatient and outpatient care.
• Deliver preventive, rehabilitative, geriatric, urgent, and chronic care.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to plan and maintain total medical care for inmates.
• Develop treatment plans and order necessary modalities for patient care.
