Cell Staff is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner for a full-time, 20-week contract assignment at Piedmont Correctional Institution in Salisbury, NC. This role provides primary and urgent care to an underserved inmate population with no weekend or evening commitments, ensuring an excellent work-life balance.

A Master's or Doctorate in Nursing is required along with an active NC NP license. The position offers competitive pay at $85 per hour, comprehensive benefits, and contract renewal potential.

Qualifications

Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in North Carolina.
National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner.
Prior experience in correctional health, urgent care, or emergency medicine preferred.

Responsabilités

Conduct physical examinations and diagnose illnesses.
Monitor and manage conditions like diabetes and hypertension.
Respond to emergencies and evaluate acute injuries.
Prescribe medications and monitor patient compliance.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
Maintain electronic health records.
