State of Connecticut, Department of Correction (DOC) seeks a qualified Correctional Plumber and Steamfitter for current and upcoming vacancies across CT correctional facilities. Applicants with three years of plumber/steamfitter experience are encouraged; licensure is not required.

Qualificações

• Three (3) years of experience as a plumber and/or steamfitter.
• Substitutions allowed: vocational/technical training may substitute for one year of experience.
• One (1) year of highly skilled level experience required for special experience.

Responsabilidades

• Plans, lays out and schedules maintenance work.
• Instructs inmates in measuring, cutting, threading and installing pipes and fixtures.
• Performs preventative maintenance and troubleshoots plumbing and steamfitting systems.
• Maintains records and reports; supervises inmates assigned to work area.
