Job summary

SpectrumACS is seeking a Physician Assistant for a 26-week local contract at a correctional facility in North Carolina. The role offers $90 per hour and 40 hours per week with a day shift and weekend rotation as required by the facility.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina PA license required.
• NCCPA certification required.
• Current DEA registration if required by facility.
• 1+ year(s) of clinical experience in primary, urgent, emergency, or correctional care preferred.
• Ability to work in a correctional setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct medical evaluations and physical assessments.
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Prescribe medications within scope of practice.
• Order and interpret diagnostic testing.
• Perform minor procedures as appropriate.
• Respond to medical emergencies.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and custody staff.
