Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited senior high school or equivalent or GED.
• Successful completion of an accredited TDCJ Correctional Officer Training program or Pre-Service Academy.
• At least 13 months of full-time corrections or law enforcement experience.
• DD214 showing honorable/general discharge or CHEA-credited associate degree or higher.

Responsibilities

• Supervise inmate work groups.
• Prevent escapes.
• Maintain discipline according to rules and guidelines.

Education

13 months of full-time corrections or law enforcement experience

Active military service with Honorable discharge or CHEA-accredited associate degree or higher
