The GEO Group, Inc. seeks a dedicated professional to supervise inmates across living, recreation, dining, and visitation areas. You will coordinate counts, ensure safety of activities, and supervise labor crews within GEO Secured Services.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and background in behavioral sciences or corrections, with flexibility for overtime and a strong ability to stay calm under pressure.

Qualifications

• Minimum education and training in behavioral sciences or correctional services are preferred.
• Understanding of cultural diversity and sensitivity is beneficial.
• Ability to handle stress and shifts.
• State employment requisites must be met.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor inmates in living, recreation, dining, and visitation areas.
• Coordinate inmate movement and conduct counts.
• Ensure safety of program activities and supervise labor crews.
• Conduct shakedowns for contraband and confiscate prohibited items.
• Keep daily logs including disciplinary reports.
• Provide prompt assistance to inmates who are injured or traumatized.
• Report maintenance needs to keep facilities clean.
