Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 1 year of relevant work experience preferred.
• Possession of valid driver's license with clean driving record; background check required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to be a credible witness in court.
• Preferred qualifications include associate or bachelor's degree in criminal justice or related field.

Responsibilities

• Keep facility safe and secure by conducting inmate counts, wellness checks, cell inspections, and security rounds.
• Respond to emergencies, apply crisis-intervention techniques, and de-escalate mental-health situations.
• Oversee intake, release processes, fingerprinting, and property management; ensure documentation is accurate.
• Supervise recreation, meals, medication distribution, visits, and inmate movement to maintain order.
• Serve as liaison between agencies, courts, and jail; conduct NCIC checks and manage warrants.
