Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Supervise inmate activities in housing, dining, recreation, and work areas.
• Inspect and patrol grounds for contraband and security risks.
• Check in new inmates, assign housing, search for contraband, and issue clothing.
• Counsel inmates and families about problems and assess hygiene, attitudes, and behavior.
• Attend staff and disciplinary meetings, riot control, and training sessions.
• Prepare daily logs, disciplinary reports, inmate counts, and supply requisitions.
• Operate equipment including radios, firearms, mace, gates, and vehicles.
• Ensure inmate safety and respond to incidents, including fights.
• Explain and enforce existing policies and procedures to others.
