Job summary

Staff Today Inc. in Taylorsville, NC seeks a Nurse Practitioner to join our correctional healthcare team. You will perform patient assessments, diagnose conditions, order tests, and develop treatment plans within your scope of practice.

The role is full-time (40 hours per week) with local pay of $98.40 per hour. You will collaborate with physicians and inter-disciplinary teams, document in EMR, and educate patients on prevention and wellness.

Qualifications

Active North Carolina NP license required.
Minimum of 2 years of recent Nurse Practitioner experience.
Include PSV from licensing board if required.
Maintain current BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, and TB test.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive patient assessments, examinations, and medical histories.
Diagnose and treat acute and chronic health conditions.
Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and laboratory results.
Prescribe medications and develop individualized treatment plans within scope of practice.
Educate patients and families on disease prevention, treatment options, and health maintenance.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
Document patient encounters accurately in the EMR.
Promote preventive care and wellness through education and screenings.
