Job summary

The State of Colorado seeks a Social Work/Counselor II at Limon Correctional Facility to provide professional mental health services to inmates, including evaluations, therapy, and crisis intervention. You will ensure continuity of care, participate in on-call rotations, and document care accurately.

Requirements include a Colorado license or active candidate status and a master's or higher in a mental health field with CACREP/CSWE/APA accreditation.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Colorado license or be a candidate for licensure in a mental health field.
• Experience providing mental health treatment in a correctional environment is preferred.
• Ability to participate in a 24-hour Mental Health On-Call Rotation.
• Strong writing and documentation skills for inmate records and reports.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional mental health services to inmates including evaluations and interventions.
• Maintain accurate information system mental health needs levels and codes.
• Deliver group, brief, and individual therapy and crisis interventions.
• Coordinate transfers for inmates with acute mental health needs.
• Offer clinical direction to non-clinical staff and ensure continuity of care.
• Document all care and ensure records are complete and timely.
