Maricopa County in Phoenix seeks a mental health professional to support patients in the county jail system, conducting bio-psychosocial assessments and crisis intervention under supervision by an independently licensed practitioner.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related field from an accredited program.
• One year of post-graduate behavioral health experience.
• Unrestricted license issued by the Arizona State Board of Behavioral Health Examiners (LMSW, LAC, LASAC/LAAC, or LAMFT).

Responsibilities

• Complete bio-psychosocial assessments and suicide risk assessments under supervision.
• Provide individual and group psycho-education and crisis intervention under supervision.
• Coordinate with the multi-disciplinary team on patient care and discharge plans.
• Maintain community resources list to support re-entry and coordination with families and providers.
