Job summary

Correctional Health Services (CHS) in Phoenix, AZ seeks a behavioral health clinician to join a multidisciplinary team addressing urgent mental health needs for county jail patients.

You will assess individuals with varying degrees of mental illness, psychosis, substance use, and risk to self or others, developing treatment plans and providing short-term therapy within a collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• Two years of behavioral health experience post-master's degree.
• Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or related field.
• Completion of clinical training hours to achieve independent licensure.

Responsibilities

• Independently engages in crisis intervention and de-escalation.
• Performs routine follow-up appointments for patients with serious mental illness.
• Completes comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessments and treatment plans.
• Coordinates and documents mental health care with the MCSO.
• Maintains HIPAA confidentiality and adheres to licensure requirements.
