Job summary

CorrHealth is seeking a Physician to provide medical assessments, evaluations, and clinical oversight within a correctional facility in Texas. The role requires collaboration with on-site medical, dental, and mental health teams to prevent disease and improve patient outcomes.

Responsibilities include supervising medical staff, initiating treatment, and advising other providers to ensure best possible care.

Qualifications

• Must maintain all certifications, educational requirements, licensing, etc. for this position
• Must have current CPR/BLS certification
• Must have current TB test (taken within one year)
• HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality enforced
• Background check and pre-employment drug test may be required

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Chief Medical Officer and authorities to manage medical needs at the site
• Provide medical assessments and evaluations to patients
• Initiate and supervise treatment for medical issues
• Supervise all care provided by medical staff
• Advise other providers on-site to improve patient care
• Collaborate with all levels of staff within the facility
• Make professional recommendations that improve quality of care and patient outcomes
