Job summary

Curative is seeking a physician to provide professional medical services within Texas correctional facilities. The role includes outpatient primary care for adult male inmates, with duties to render final medical judgments and oversee Health Services activities on-site.

The position operates in a corrections environment under the Regional Physician, with no on-call responsibilities, and requires an MD/DO with Board Certification/Eligibility in Family or Internal Medicine, Texas licensure or IMLC

Qualifications

• Must be an MD or DO.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• Active Texas license or IMLC LOQ required.
• BLS and DEA certifications.

Responsibilities

• Render final medical judgment regarding care provided to inmates per Health Services Policies and Procedures.
• Direct Health Services activities on the unit and supervise Health Services employees.
• Provide general primary care and routine visits for adult male inmate population.
• Work under the Regional Physician with latitude for independent judgment.
