Job summary

CBH Medical in Maryland is hiring a Certified Medication Technician (CMT) for a full-time position with 8-hour shifts in a correctional setting. You will dispense medications, monitor patients, and support nursing staff within a secure clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Medication Aide certification through NCSBN is required.
• Medical Assistant training or equivalent education (HS diploma or GED) is required.
• Current CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Dispense oral, inhalation, and topical medications to patients in accordance with established protocols.
• Observe patients for medication reactions or adverse effects and promptly report concerns to nursing staff.
• Monitor vital signs, calculate medication dosages, and maintain a fully stocked medication cart.
• Document all administered medications and dosages in the MAR.
• Clean and prepare examination rooms prior to patient appointments.
• Assist nursing staff and office manager with maintaining medical inventory and placing supply orders as needed.
• File charts, MARs, lab reports, and other documents; pull and refile records for discharged inmates.
• Participate in and support safety initiatives, including OSHA-required trainings and health and safety programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support efficient medical operations.
