Job summary

NaphCare, Inc. is seeking a Medical Director for the Washoe County Jan Evans Juvenile Justice Center in Reno, NV. This part-time leadership role guides clinical care and ensures the delivery of quality medical services within the facility.

You will oversee rounds, chronic care, emergencies, and staff collaboration while upholding regulatory standards and patient rights, with opportunities for professional growth and advancement within NaphCare's correctional healthcare network.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree and valid state medical license.
• Board certification recognized by ABMS.
• Active BLS CPR certification (AHA).
• Current DEA registration to prescribe controlled substances.
• Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect medical care in the facility.
• Conduct rounds and sick calls; manage chronic care.
• Respond to medical emergencies and ensure quality care.
• Lead and participate in staff education and training activities.
• Ensure compliance with state/federal mandates and policies.
