CorrHealth is seeking a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse to support inmate care within a correctional health unit. Under RN supervision, you will assist in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care, while guiding inmate teaching and activities aligned with your training and competencies.

Responsibilities include administering medications (including IV if certified), assisting in procedures, performing EKGs, and ensuring safe, confidential care.

Formación

• Graduate from an accredited LPN/LVN program.
• Current LPN/LVN licensure in the state of employment.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• TB test within one year.
• Pass background check and pre-employment drug test.
• Willing to undergo security training and orientation.

Responsabilidades

• Under supervision of a Registered Nurse, assists in assessment of inmates' physical, psychological, and social needs in Health Care Unit and housing units as needed.
• Help plan and implement individual treatment programs using available knowledge and resources.
• Administer medications per proper techniques, including IV therapy where certified.
• Assist provider in evaluations, medical procedures, and minor surgeries with SOAP charting.
• Obtain body fluid specimens and perform EKGs using proper techniques.
• Maintain and document controlled substances and medical equipment.
• Intervene in various situations with proper safety techniques and standard precautions.
• Implement nutrition and therapeutic diet plans as ordered by provider.
• Triaging and assessing healthcare requests.
