NaphCare is hiring an LPN in Decatur, AL to join our team caring for individuals at the North Alabama Work Release Center. You will work with correctional officers and medical staff to perform assessments, administer meds, and manage chronic conditions in a controlled setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a Licensed Practical Nursing program.
• Active state license as LVN/LPN.
• Active BLS CPR certification required by American Heart Association.
• Must pass criminal background check and drug screening.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to Code of Conduct.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and interview patients about health problems and medication history.
• Take vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, and weight.
• Provide wound care and bandaging as needed.
• Administer medications and monitor reactions.
• Maintain medical records in TechCare electronic health record.
• Observe patient and mental health status.
• Provide emergency first aid.
• Educate patients and assist with discharge planning.
