Job summary

CorrHealth in Colorado's correctional system is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to support inmate care using the nursing process under the supervision of registered nurses.

The role includes assessing patients, planning and implementing care, administering medications (including IV therapy where certified), and assisting with procedures in a secure health unit.

Candidates must maintain confidentiality, complete required certifications, and pass background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited LPN/LVN program.
• Maintain current state LPN/LVN licensure.
• CPR/BLS certification required; TB test current.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assessment of inmates with RN supervision.
• Plan and implement individualized treatment programs.
• Administer medications per protocol, including IV therapy where certified.
• Assist in evaluations, procedures, SOAP charting.
• Obtain specimens and perform EKGs.
• Triaging healthcare requests and maintain confidentiality.
