Job summary

NaphCare, Inc. is seeking a licensed practical nurse/licensed vocational nurse to join our correctional healthcare team in Springville.

You will work alongside correctional officers and medical staff to assess patients, administer medications, manage chronic conditions, and respond to emergencies in a secure facility environment. New grads are encouraged to apply and will receive training in correctional healthcare.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an LPN program and hold an active LPN/LVN license.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS CPR certification required (AHA preferred).
• Ability to obtain background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and interview patients about health problems and medication history.
• Take vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, and weight.
• Provide wound care and assist with injections and medication administration.
• Maintain accurate medical records in the electronic health record (TechCare).
• Observe patient health and mental health status and provide emergency first aid.
• Educate patients and contribute to discharge planning.

Education
