The role requires ensuring safety, enforcing policies, and coordinating programs to meet operational priorities. Qualifications include high school graduation, 5+ years of security experience with supervisory responsibilities, and the ability to pass medical, psychological, and drug screenings.

Qualificações

• Education equivalent to graduation from a standard high school and experience equivalent to substantial (five or more years of) full-time increasingly responsible youth or adult security experience, including two years of supervisory experience and one year of adult correctional security experience.
• Must be willing to qualify with, carry and use assigned weapons.
• Be at least 18 years old and a U.S. citizen.
• Pass physical and psychological evaluations and a drug screening.

Responsabilidades

• Supervises or performs searches of inmates and vehicles and conducts shakedowns of cells for valuables and contraband.
• Responds to emergencies such as medical needs, escapes, fires, and natural disasters.
• Prepares shift reports, daily logs, disciplinary reports and population records for accountability.
• Plans and coordinates activities of subordinates who oversee programs; ensures scheduling and responsibility alignment.
• Instructs employees and provides on-the-job training, including emergencies.
