Job summary

The NC Department of Adult Correction is seeking a Correctional Lieutenant II (S) at Roanoke River Correctional in Halifax County, NC. You will serve as Officer-in-Charge in the absence of the Correctional Captain and supervise staff, conduct shift line-ups, assign posts, and ensure discipline and safety within a large minimum custody facility.

Responsibilities include reviewing time reports, duty rosters, leave schedules, performance evaluations, and administrative forms.

Qualifications

• Documented supervisory skills in a prison facility.
• Knowledge of facility operations.
• Knowledge of Prisons' policy and procedures.
• Documented report writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Officer-in-Charge in the absence of the Correctional Captain.
• Conduct shift line-ups and assign posts; inspect personnel for readiness and discipline.
• Review time reports, duty rosters, leave schedules, and performance evaluations; manage admin forms.
