Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Food Service Worker to supervise inmates in a kitchen, train workers, and coordinate meal preparation in a correctional facility. You will ensure sanitation, safety, and adherence to production plans while maintaining Aramark standards.

The role requires strong supervision, ability to motivate teams, and strict adherence to safety protocols and security clearances. Competitive hourly pay with great benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• Must be over 18 years of age.
• Minimum of one year of food prep or related work preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Previous experience interacting with inmates a plus.
• Ability to motivate and supervise inmates and/or team members to attain quality and quantity of food production in a correctional work environment.
• Must be able to obtain a food safety certification.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Ability to exercise good judgment and tact.
• Must be able to follow basic safety procedures and policies.
• Must qualify for and maintain correctional facility security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to production guidelines and log reviews.
• Supervise inmates in food preparation and tray assembly.
• Ensure timely, efficient meal service and compliance.
• Train inmates on Aramark recipes and proper cooking.
• Ensure proper portions and dietary requirements are met.
• Maintain security by following policies and locking storage areas.
• Assist in inventory, receiving, and storage of food items.
