Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Food Service Worker Supervisor to oversee inmate workers in meal preparation and tray assembly. You will train staff, ensure timeliness of service, and enforce safety and sanitation standards in a correctional kitchen.

The role emphasizes supervision, adherence to HACCP procedures, and the ability to obtain facility security clearance while maintaining rigorous food safety.

Qualifications

• One year of food prep or related work preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience interacting with inmates is a plus.
• Ability to motivate and supervise inmates in a correctional environment.
• Must obtain a food safety certification.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Must follow basic safety procedures and policies.
• Must qualify for and maintain correctional facility security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to production guidelines and review logs.
• Supervise inmates in food preparation and tray assembly.
• Ensure timely meal service and compliance with Aramark guidelines.
• Assist in preparation and serving of meals.
• Print and distribute recipes; train on proper cooking procedures.
• Ensure correct portions and dietary requirements are met.
• Obtain daily population counts and review with staff.
• Follow security policies and keep storage areas secure.
