Job summary

Summit in Las Cruces, NM is seeking an experienced cook to join our correctional kitchen team. You will work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, preparing meals while ensuring quality and portion control. This on-site role requires attention to detail and the ability to follow recipes reliably.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of scratch cooking experience, solid culinary knowledge, and strong customer service skills. Food handlers’ certification is a nice-to-have.

Qualifications

• At least one year’s prior culinary experience in a high-volume establishment with scratch cooking.
• Working knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques, and standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to use kitchen equipment and identify/differentiate food items.
• Customer service experience is required.
