Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a Medical Records Clerk for the Northeast Correctional Center in Bowling Green, Missouri. The role involves initiating and maintaining offender health records, responding to health record requests, and performing clerical tasks to support continuity of care.

The position requires a high school diploma, preferred medical office experience, and current CPR/BLS certification. Training includes access to benefits, 401(k), PTO, and education assistance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of medical office experience preferred.
• Current CPR and Basic Life Support Certification.
• Medical Records/Mental Health/Administrative Assistant experience preferred.
• Medical terminology knowledge and/or medical terminology course completion preferred.
• Computer/Data Entry experience.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and maintain offender health records.
• Respond to requests for health records.
• Perform clerical duties.
• Work closely with healthcare staff to ensure maintenance and accountability for offender health records to support continuity of care.
