Marquee Staffing in Orange County, CA seeks a Physician for a Correctional Facility, delivering high-quality medical care to incarcerated adults across five facilities. The role includes oversight of Nurse Practitioners and opportunities to impact community health.

You will manage urgent and chronic care, perform procedures, and collaborate with nursing, dental, mental health teams, and sheriff’s department while maintaining accurate EHR documentation.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in triage, urgent care, mental health, or correctional medicine.
• Clinical excellence in diagnosis, treatment, and disease management.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and correctional health policies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EHR systems.
• Leadership and supervision experience with clinical staff.
• Commitment to training and mentoring team members.
• Ability to work in a high-pressure, unpredictable environment.
• Compassion and professionalism when caring for incarcerated patients.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Ability to de-escalate difficult situations and foster cooperation.

Responsabilités

• Serve as the primary care provider for incarcerated adults, including women’s health and prenatal care.
• Perform urgent and chronic care services, including procedures such as skin biopsies, suturing, ingrown nail removal, incision and drainage, pap smears, and more.
• Conduct thorough physical exams and order appropriate diagnostic tests.
• Provide clinical supervision and oversight to four Nurse Practitioners.
• Collaborate with nursing, dental, and mental health teams, as well as Orange County Sheriff’s Department staff.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in the electronic health record system (EHR).
