Qualifikationen

• Graduation from a Licensed Vocational Nurse Program and current license/permit as a vocational nurse in the State of Texas.

Aufgaben

• Provides direct nursing care to assigned patients.
• Participates in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the nursing care given.
• Performs admission, discharge, and transfer procedures.
• Under supervision, reviews and may modify the plan of care.
• Observes and records signs, symptoms, and physiological status, proposes revisions of interventions.
• Delivers nursing interventions per the plan of care.
• Notifies staff of patient status changes and coordinates care.
• Follows physician’s orders in delivering care.
• Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Administers medications and treatments as ordered.
• Executes physician orders for assigned patients.
• Assembles equipment for procedures and assists others.
• Adheres to infection control and aseptic techniques.
• Documents nursing care in patient records.
• Adheres to internal controls and reporting structures.
• Performs related duties as required.
