Job summary

The GEO Group, Inc. is the industry’s global leader in evidenced based rehabilitation, seeking a Security Supervisor to oversee detainee supervision and security operations.

You will help develop and enforce policies, coordinate staff, respond to incidents, and ensure safety across the facility. The role requires prior supervisory experience in a correctional setting, maturity, resilience under stress, and US citizenship or permanent residence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent certification required.
• College coursework and advanced training in behavioral sciences, correctional services or related field preferred.
• Three (3) years of experience in a correctional setting with supervisory capabilities.
• Must be U.S. citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident.

Responsibilities

• Supervises security/control activities and staff to coordinate detainee supervision and safety.
• Develops and implements policies and procedures for custody, security and treatment.
• Responds to major unusual occurrences and provides prompt assistance to detainees.
• Directs work of other employees, including hiring, training, evaluation and discipline.
• Maintains records, daily logs, and prepares reports as required.
