Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Psychology from an accredited program.
• Current, unrestricted license to practice psychology in the state where practice occurs.
• Two years clinical experience, including one year in a comparable position.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Minimum age requirement: 20 years.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological screenings and assessments based on records and clinical interviews with inmates.
• Collaborate with psychiatry, mental health staff, physicians, nurses, social workers to integrate patient care.
• Develop, implement, and modify individual treatment plans.
• Perform rounds to assess inmate adjustment and treatment needs.
• Apply counseling techniques and crisis interventions as needed.
• Consult with staff to understand reasons for escalation of behavioral and mental health changes.
