Job summary

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) seeks a Maintenance Worker at the Graceville Correctional Facility in Graceville, FL. The role involves maintaining and repairing building systems, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and related infrastructure in alignment with ACA, MTC, and FDOC directives.

The position is full-time, Monday–Friday, with the opportunity to contribute to a secure, service‑oriented environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Technical training and two years related experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license in Florida with acceptable driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair of structures, electrical systems, and HVAC and drainage systems; coordinate contracted assistance when on-site repair isn’t possible.
• Use hand tools, electrical tools, or battery-powered tools to make repairs or replacements.
• Repair or replace faulty fixtures, outlets, and fuses as directed.
• Carry out minor construction and repair of structural woodwork and install window shades or covers.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance checks on buildings and equipment.
• Document work orders and status; supervise inmates as assigned.
• Follow safety regulations and use PPE for staff and offenders.
