Job summary

CoreCivic is seeking a dedicated Facility Locksmith to install, maintain and repair facility locks and associated hardware in a secure correctional environment. The role involves troubleshooting and servicing commercial security hardware, and maintaining master keying for standard and small formats.

The candidate will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, and document work orders. A valid driver's license is required, and experience with detention facility locking systems is

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Two years of experience with detention, commercial and industrial locking systems hardware installation.
• Locksmith certification and/or completion of Architectural Hardware Certification training preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Minimum Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Installs, maintains and repairs facility locks and related hardware for correctional facility.
• Troubleshoots, repairs and installs commercial and industrial security door locking hardware.
• Maintains master keying systems for both standard and small formats.
• Performs preventive maintenance, diagnoses and corrects problems involving various components.
• Coordinates with facility Maintenance Supervisor in high-priority repairs and preventive maintenance to ensure safe and secure facility system operations.
