Job summary

State of South Carolina is seeking a licensed dentist to provide direct dental care to inmate populations and oversee clinic operations at an assigned facility in Columbia. The role requires licensure in South Carolina and current DEA registration, with CPR certification preferred.

The position involves supervising dental assistants and ensuring compliance with clinical standards, and may include providing care at additional institutions as directed by the Director of Dentistry.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited dental school with dental experience.
• Licensure to practice dentistry in South Carolina, current federal and state DEA.
• CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to inmate population.
• Maintains dental health and delivery services at assigned dental clinic for assigned inmate population.
• Manages and supervises assigned dental assistant personnel.
• Manages and supervises operations at the assigned dental clinic to ensure compliance with appropriate standards.
• As directed by the Director of Dentistry, provides dental care at institutions other than the assigned institutions.
