UTMB Health is seeking a licensed dentist to provide direct dental care for the offender population within correctional facilities in Texas. The role operates under supervision with latitude for independent judgement and may serve multiple facilities as needed.
The position requires Texas licensure, current TX dental license registration, DEA registration, and BLS-HP certification. Work environment includes security considerations and pre-employment drug testing.
The mission of Correctional Managed Care is to address the healthcare needs of underserved patient populations within the Texas Department of Criminal Justice and the Texas Juvenile Justice Department.
JOB SUMMARY:
Performs responsible general direct dental care services for the offender population of a correctional facility, in conformance with University procedures and Health Services policies. Works under supervision of the Cluster Dental Director with latitude for the exercise of independent judgement. May be required to provide dental services on multiple facilities.
