Job summary

Cell Staff is seeking a licensed Dental Hygienist for full-time work at correctional facilities across North Carolina. The role offers 8- or 12-hour shifts, with some weekends required and a contract position that is flexible with shift availability.

You will perform prophylaxis, scaling, fluoride treatments, and other preventative procedures, while conducting inmate oral assessments and recording findings. Radiographs, periodontal therapy, and patient education are key parts of daily duties.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program.
• Current license as a Dental Hygienist in the state of practice, in good standing.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant Dental Hygienist experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, fluoride treatments.
• Conduct comprehensive oral assessments and document findings.
• Administer periodontal therapy and maintenance procedures.
• Capture dental radiographs and interpret images for diagnosis.
• Provide individualized oral hygiene instruction and counseling.
• Assist with dental emergencies within the facility.
