NaphCare is hiring a Dental Assistant to join our team at the Wyoming Department of Corrections - Honor Conservation Camp in Newcastle, WY. Pay rates range from $20.90 - $22.00 per hour, varying by shift, site needs, and experience.

New grads are encouraged to apply and will be trained in correctional healthcare. As a Correctional Dental Assistant, you will work with dental professionals and correctional staff to provide care to incarcerated individuals.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Maintain the proper training and unrestricted certification as a Dental Assistant in WY.
• Must possess an active BLS CPR Certification (American Heart Association required).
• Ability to interact effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for dental procedures and assist during treatments.
• Maintain patient dental records and ensure confidentiality.
• Assist in sterilization and disinfecting of equipment and tools.
• Triage, schedule appointments, manage patient records and perform administrative tasks.
• Explain dental procedures and oral hygiene practices to patients.
• Take and develop x-rays and assist with dental laboratory tasks.
