Job summary

NaphCare, Inc. is seeking a Dental Assistant for the Limestone Correctional Facility in Harvest, AL. You will work with dental professionals and correctional staff to deliver essential dental care to incarcerated patients in a controlled environment.

New grads are encouraged to apply as full training is provided. The role includes patient preparation, procedure assistance, record keeping, sterilization, and administrative support within the dental department.

Qualifications

• Completion of a one or two-year dental assistant program at a vocational school or community college.
• Maintain the proper training and unrestricted certification as a Dental Assistant
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Be able to obtain CPR certification
• Able to maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
• Display integrity, professionalism and be able to adhere to a Code of Conduct and comply with all facility(s) correctional healthcare policies, procedures, and legal requirements
• Must pass the facility’s criminal background check and drug screening

Responsibilities

• Preparing patients for dental procedures and assisting patients with treatments.
• Maintaining patient dental records and protecting patient rights and privacy.
• Assisting in triage, scheduling, and administrative tasks.
• Taking and developing X-rays and assisting with dental laboratory work.

Education

Dental assistant program (1-2 years)
