Job summary

Bridges International's Turning Point Bridge in Pompano Beach, FL seeks an experienced Chaplain to administer a wide range of religious programs and to facilitate the religious expression of all inmates. The Chaplain will plan, coordinate, and supervise activities, provide spiritual counseling, recruit and train volunteers, and report to facility leadership.

Ordained minister with at least three years of experience is required; substance abuse experience is preferred along with strong leadership

Qualifications

• AA degree required and ordained minister with relevant credentials.
• Three years minimum ministerial experience; substance abuse experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and counseling skills.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and supervises all religious activities and services.
• Develops and oversees schedules of activities with facility leadership.
• Provides spiritual counseling to inmates and staff during emergencies.
• Recruits, screens, trains, and manages volunteers at the facility.
• Maintains confidential volunteer files and coordinates background checks.
