Job summary

GEO Secured Services is seeking a Chaplain to provide religious and spiritual leadership for inmates in a Florida facility. The role coordinates all religious services, counseling, and outside volunteer opportunities, working closely with the psychology team and faith leaders.

Key duties include organizing religious education, recruiting volunteers from represented faiths, and communicating with families when inmates are ill or pass away. Strong organizational and computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in pastoral counseling, biblical studies, theology, or related field.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work with people in varying and complex situations.
• Working knowledge of business English and basic software usage.

Responsibilities

• Provides religious counseling and spiritual guidance within the facility.
• Plans and coordinates religious programs and trains volunteers.
• Notifies family and inmates in serious illness, injury, or death.
• Coordinates with community groups and manages donations for the religious program.
• Ensures equal status and protection for all inmate religions.
