Job summary

Good News Global seeks a Full-Time Chaplain to provide comprehensive Christian pastoral ministry to inmates and staff in correctional facilities. Qualifications

• Master’s Degree from a seminary preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree with Bible/Theology emphasis or equivalent Bible credits.
• Ordained, licensed, or commissioned by local church/denomination.
• Incarceration ministry experience preferred.
• Proven ministry involvement and evangelism/discipleship/teaching.
• Agreement with Doctrinal Statement.

Responsibilities

• Provide Christian chaplaincy services to inmates and staff: counseling, worship, Bible studies, clergy visits, literature, and pastoral duties.
• Facilitate access to religious volunteers for all faiths recognized by the facility.
• Handle emergency and death notifications for inmates and families.
• Counsel inmates and staff; recruit and train religious volunteers.
• Promote ministry visibility through jail tours and community presentations.
• Fulfill administrative requirements and generate reports using software.
• Develop partnerships with local churches/organizations for ministry support.
