Job summary

Wyoming Department of Corrections is seeking a Caseworker for the Wyoming Medium Correctional Institution. You will classify inmates, complete risk assessments, and manage parole summaries and progress reports while supporting re-entry efforts.

Responsibilities include delivering cognitive-behavioral programming, maintaining case notes, and coordinating referrals. A Bachelor's in Social Services is required, with 0–5 years in casework and training including Krav Maga.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (typically in Social Services).
• 0-2 years of progressive work experience (typically in Casework).
• 3-5 years of progressive work experience (typically in Casework).
• Knowledge of human behavior, motivation, and interpersonal behavior.
• Knowledge of interviewing and counseling techniques.
• Pre-service and annual training is required, which includes Krav Maga defensive tactics.
• Must be able to work safely and professionally in a correctional environment with incarcerated individuals.

Responsibilities

• Classifies patients/students/inmates, completes risk assessments, and makes referrals.
• Delivers evidence-based programs.
• Maintains case notes, reports, and correspondence.
• Manages casework duties including planning and documentation of programming.
