Job summary

The State of Indiana is seeking a Correctional Casework Manager at Indiana Women’s Prison in Indianapolis. You will supervise a team of Correctional Caseworkers, manage caseloads, assess risks with IRAS, and guide re-entry planning while maintaining stringent security standards.

A degree is not required, but a High School Diploma or HSE with 2+ years in social work, corrections, or related fields is considered.

Qualifications

• Ability to supervise and develop correctional caseworkers.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage staff workloads.
• Ability to engage with staff and offenders respectfully and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate supervision to your Correctional Caseworker team and ensure policy adherence through CQI assessments.
• Supervise, train, coach, and evaluate caseworkers; assess strengths and weaknesses plus regular performance reviews.
• Assess offenders' risks and needs using IRAS and coordinate with facility staff on re-entry and release issues.
• Provide group and individual programming for re-entry and release.
• Coordinate with classification staff for appropriate offender placements and conduct unit orientations.
• Motivate offenders towards positive change, strengthen relationships, and manage environmental risks.
• Maintain high security standards within the unit and facility.
