Located in Black Mountain, NC, Western Correctional Center for Women is a minimum custody facility on a 100+ acre compound that can house up to 366 inmates.

This is a full-time position (40 hours/week) with State Benefits. Work hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with one late day each week.
Note to Current State Employees: The salary grade for this position is NC07. State employees are encouraged to apply, and if selected, a new salary will be calculated based on relevant education, experience, funding, and internal equity, which may result in a pay increase.

It has undergone renovations to provide educational and rehabilitative facilities. The name changed to Western Correctional Center for Women in 2021.
