Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with an associate's degree and one year of relevant experience in corrections, community supervision, case management, rehabilitation services, or related field.
• Substitution of experience for education allowed on a year-for-year basis up to two years.
• Substitution of graduate coursework for experience allowed in appropriate cases.
• One year of relevant TDOC Case Manager 1* experience may satisfy the requirement.
• A valid vehicle operator's license may be required for employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform professional case management activities in correctional facilities with independence and accountability for assigned caseloads.
• Review offender case information and documentation to support case actions, supervision requirements, and program participation decisions.
• Complete required offender assessments, screenings, and case reviews and determine appropriate actions within authority.
• Initiate and schedule the monthly teaming for inmates on the caseload.
• Develop and update offender case plans to support supervision, rehabilitation, and reentry goals.
• Coordinate services, referrals, and resources with internal and external partners.
• Monitor offender status, behavior, and compliance indicators and initiate corrective actions as needed.
• Communicate with offenders and stakeholders to resolve case-related issues and document actions.
• Participate in training and initiatives and may guide less experienced staff.
