Job summary

Great Falls Pre-Release Services, Inc. in Great Falls, MT seeks a Correctional Treatment Specialist to guide residents through a structured re-entry program and ensure active participation in treatment activities.

The Center emphasizes minimum security and residential settings, with a focus on supportive transition into the community. You will orient residents, develop objective contracts, coordinate with social services, monitor progress, and assist with parole planning, housing, and referrals,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in social work, sociology, psychology or related field.
• Three years’ experience in general human services programs for adults or two years with adult felons.
• Residential Community Corrections experience preferred.
• Other combinations of education or experience may be considered.
• Strong problem solving, time management, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide residents with an orientation to the program according to standards and mediate advancement through the phase system.
• Develop with residents a reasonable and objective contract describing what will be accomplished with time requirements.
• Meet with residents weekly and refer them to social resources for assistance; maintain community contacts for referrals.
• Mediate disputes and provide guidance on vocational and educational plans and services.
• Monitor resident activities in the community and coordinate necessary travel and visits.
• Provide weekly program guidance and oversee budgeting, education, and employment plans.
• Oversee vocational and educational placements and monitor performance.
• Develop parole plans and assist with housing prior to leaving the Center.
• Participate in screening referrals and assist on judicial panels when needed.
• Perform on-call duties and provide case management during absences.
