This position is located at Craven Correctional Institution, a Medium Custody Adult Male Felon Diagnostic Processing Center in Vanceboro, NC, with an offender population of 850. Case Managers meet semi-monthly with offenders or as needed, prepare assessments and plans for their caseload, and handle classification and control actions. Some inmates may have mental health needs, requiring additional management time. Collateral duties include overseeing education, recreation, substance abuse programs, community volunteer coordination, inmate library, and special projects like offender art shows and writing contests. Interaction with community organizations is also required.
Must be eligible for certification by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education & Training Standards Commission.
Effective January 1, 2025, salary ranges from $35,984 to $62,971, with full-time benefits including health, retirement, and paid leave.
