Job summary

Adelphi Medical Staffing, LLC seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide nursing care at correctional facilities in Virginia. You will collaborate with health team members to deliver care according to standards.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year of corrections experience.
• Open to both local and out-of-state nurses.

Responsibilities

• Participates in screening, evaluation, and care of inmates under physician or RN supervision.
• Record patients’ medical information and vital signs.
• Prepare patients for and assist with examinations or treatments.
• Prepare rooms, sterile instruments, equipment, or supplies and ensure stock is maintained.
• Coordinate with other medical and ancillary personnel to ensure continuity of care.
• Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients’ condition.
• Provide appropriate nursing interventions in emergency situations.
• Comply with all state requirements and facility policies and procedures.
• Additional duties as assigned by facility.
