Qualifications

Must not have received an involuntary demotion within the past 24 months.
Must not have received less than a 3.00 rating on a performance evaluation within the past 3 fiscal years.

Responsibilities

Supervises Correctional Officers and Sergeants assigned to a security post on any shift.
Serves as the initial Commander during emergency situations.
Plans, organizes and coordinates activities of all Correctional Officers and Sergeants on a shift.
Delegates post and duty assignments, coordinates leave usage and attendance records.
Works with lead officers to ensure proper security coverage and conducts counseling.
Supervises searches for contraband and daily inspections of buildings and grounds.
